The Coolus type helmet (Classification 2) originated around the 2nd century BC and continued into the 1st century AD with many variations appearing throughout it's time period. The Type C helmet shown dates from around AD 15. Our reproduction was raised from a single piece of 12 ga. bronze, just as the originals were. The piece was left un-lined to allow the client to customize the interior padding.
